Franklin Families & Students,
Tomorrow is the first day of school and we are excited to welcome back all of our students. To prepare for our first day we wanted to share a few details of what to expect.
Daily Self-Screening Checklist - REMINDER
Similar to last year all staff and students are asked to conduct a COVID self-screen in the morning prior to arriving at school. We still encourage individuals to self-screen daily for illness and report to the school nurse when they are experiencing primary or excludable symptoms of illness listed on the self screening checklist or if they have had a recent close contact exposure or have tested positive for COVID-19.
Students who are feeling sick or showing symptoms are asked to stay home and contact their medical provider.
Primary COVID-19 Symptoms:
Non-Primary Symptoms
Additionally the symptoms marked in red like Nausea or Vomiting, Diarrhea can be associated with other illnesses including COVID, and require students and staff to stay home per the Oregon Exclusion Requirements.
Non-primary symptoms like fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, sore throat, nasal congestion or runny nose are not excludable symptoms on their own. Staff or Students experiencing non-primary symptoms that persist for more than one day, should consider evaluation by their healthcare provider who can determine if COVID-19 testing is advised.
