11th Grade College & Career Night on Monday, April 29th
Grant High School is hosting an 11th Grade College & Career Night on Monday, April 29th, from 6:30-8:30 pm. The event will include an opening presentation by representatives of the GHS Counseling Team and the College & Career Center. The event also features a keynote on starting the college search entitled, “Finding Fit: Best Practices for Building a College List” from a Portland-based college consultant and various sessions hosted by local college & career experts, including:

  • Writing the Personal Statement
  • Differences and Benefits of Public, Private, and Community College: A Panel Discussion with Experts
  • A Closer Look at Paying for College: Financing Your Education
  • How to be an Effective Partner Through the College Search Process
  • Behind the Scenes: How Private Schools Evaluate Applications
  • Careers In Trades

There will be two sessions of each college & career presentation and each attendee will have the option to select which two they attend. Students and parents/guardians are welcome to split up and participate in different sessions. We cannot record sessions, but we will ask each presenter to share their presentation slides after the event.

To ensure that we have enough space for attendees at each presentation, we ask that you select which presentations you plan to attend using this form: bit.ly/CC-Night-24.

Please contact Mary Beth Snell, GHS College Coordinator, at [email protected] if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you on April 29th!
