Southern Oregon University's president, Dr. Richard Bailey, is visiting Lincoln next week for SOU's 150th Anniversary Tour! The event will take place on Wednesday, 10/5, from 10:15am-11am (the first half of period 6). Please join us! It should be a good conversation around both the challenges and power of education, and the opportunity of non-traditional pathways. There will be a QR code with a Google form for students to sign in, so you will get excused from class for that time.
Dr. Bailey is planning a number of trips around the state of Oregon to meet with legislators, Rotary groups, and alumni, and he is coming to Lincoln to talk with our students! During the event, Dr. Bailey will talk about being a first-generation student, the value of going to college, non-traditional pathways, and how education can be life-changing. While he is the president of SOU, Dr. Bailey's speech will be geared toward higher education in general. Find Dr. Bailey’s biography here.
