Two CRLE Opportunities-PCC Apprenticeships & Green Career in Wind

As the current population of experienced tradespeople nears retirement age, companies are scrambling to train and hire skilled workers. Apprenticeship describes a powerful training model in which aspiring tradespeople can learn from more experienced tradespeople and earn a living while they also attend school and receive scheduled, periodic advancement. Sage (Wind Turbines)-Senior Advocates for Generational Equity - 4:00pm-4:45pm (Wed. Oct. 27)
Nancy is a training specialist with Vestas, the energy industry’s global partner on sustainable energy solutions. Vestas designs, manufactures, installs, and services wind turbines across the globe, and with +140 gigawatts of wind turbines in 85 countries, the company has installed more wind power than anyone else. Nancy will provide students with a close-up look inside a working wind turbine, and focus her remarks on the training and career tracks associated with manufacturing, installing, and servicing turbines around the world.
