Friday, February 4th is "Hoodies Up Day". In solidarity with Roosevelt High School; Franklin students and staff are encouraged to wear a hoodie to school with your "Hood Up".
Hoodies Up Day is a day dedicated to honoring the life of Trayvon Martin, a teenager whose life was taken due to gun violence. Hoodies Up Day is an annual event that typically takes place on Trayvon Martin's birthday, February 5th, but instead will be recognized this Friday.
Hoodies Up Day allows our community to show unity and celebrate the life of Trayvon Martin and the many others affected by gun violence and to take a stance against it.
