On Monday, March 14th PPS will transition to optional masking for all staff and students across every PPS building. 
As we prepare for the implementation of the new Mask Guidelines beginning next Monday we wanted to share resources with everyone, to assist you in having conversations within your family and with your children.  We recognize that there is emotion and anxiety around this policy and that the spectrum is covered regarding the collective feelings within our community.  Regardless of where we personally stand, our hope is that we can together continue to create a school environment that respects the individual choices made by staff, students, and their families.  
 
We have prepared a slide deck for students and families HERE which serves as an additional resource that may assist you with providing context and reinforces our schoolwide value of showing respect towards all persons. 
 
Our obligation to our collective community is one of shared responsibility. I'm hoping that we all can support one another and our students as we navigate these new guidelines.
