Words of Wisdom  ~ Attention Affinity Groups

Commencement is a time to celebrate graduates and offer opportunities for graduating class members to speak.

An additional speech titled Words of Wisdom will be offered.

All BIPOC students in this year's graduating class are invited to audition for this speaking opportunity.

Who Can Apply?

• BIPOC Seniors, Graduates of 2024
  
  

Interested? 

• Complete and submit this form no later than April 12, 2024
• Prepare a Words of Wisdom speech 
• Audition before a panel of judges in the Auditorium (Thursday, April 18th) 
  
  

Speech Expectations:

• Tone, Tenor, and Tact: Be appropriate and mindful of the ceremonious setting and audience. Intent vs. Impact.
• Focus, "The Send Off" :  Reflect on memories, times shared, challenges, and class success. Dreams, aspirations, goals, and best wishes of (for) the class.
• Time:  Not to exceed 2 minutes. We are on a strict time schedule.
• Scoring: Students will be scored on time, content, preparedness, enthusiasm, creativity, and speaking clearly.
• Good Standing: Only students in good standing will be bestowed this honor of speaking during Franklin's 2024 Commencement Ceremony.
