Greetings students,

We are proud of every one of our students and their unique talents and abilities. We also know that school is not one-size-fits-all. Sometimes student talent is best supported in alternative learning environments. That’s where Reconnection Services comes in.

Portland Public Schools is a leader in providing students with a dynamic portfolio of alternative school options. These options center innovative curricula, culturally-specific supports, wraparound services, intentional mentorship, and smaller school settings where students can build meaningful relationships. We also want to acknowledge that it has been a tough year. The fall and winter school closures have challenged students in a myriad of ways. Reconnection Services can help when students are feeling overwhelmed and out-of-place. We offer follow-up support all year long to restore hope, reimagine success, and help students reconnect to school.
